Night in the Country
August 21, 2010 ~ Rain date
August 22, 2010
The Northwestern
Recreation Commission is hosting their 12th Annual
“Night in the Country” on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 4:00
p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Rain date is Sunday August 21, 2010. Fun
is planned for all. A live country band, car cruise, D J,
Chinese auction, bingo, etc., plus great food and activities. To
end the evening, a fireworks display is planned. Admission
donation is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12.
We would like to
take this opportunity to invite your organization, booster
clubs, churches, etc. to be a part of this night. It is really
nice to see the community organizations participate in this
event; and a fun way to earn a little extra money for your
favorite group. Donations and items for the Chinese
Auction are also needed and appreciated. Please call Janice
Bortz at 484-330-0550 or email at wmjb75@yahoo.com.
We are always in
need of volunteers for this event. A little time or a lot of
time to give is appreciated.
Any questions,
please call Kathy Hermany at 610-298-2276 or email at
rhermany@ptd.net. It really is a fun night to get together
with neighbors, friends, and family.

Neighborhood Watch / Safe Citizens
Across the nation crime is of concern to citizens in cities, suburbs, towns, and rural areas. Increasingly, citizens and law enforcement professionals realize that neither one can eradicate crime working separately. Neighbors and other concerned citizens, working cooperatively with law enforcement, can have a positive effect.
